For about 6 years every January I would start attending meetings for
Provo City's (Utah) Candy Window Displays. Even though we didn't but up the candy displays until November we started work early. There was an incredible amount of time in the conception, design and then construction of them. And is was all volunteer work. The city paid for the supplies but every little candy glued on was done for the love of it. And I did love doing it. I'm a little sick that way. My husband didn't quite feel the same way about it. I moved a couple of years ago and I heard this year that they didn't do the windows. Sad.
Here is one of the years I did - 2005. The theme was Christmas books. I choose How the Grinch Stole Christmas and the moment of the Grinch's change of heart. I won third place that year.

it was shown in a storefront in town for a couple of months.
